RESTORATIVE WELLNESS PROJECT (RWP)
WE HAVE A FULL SPECTRUM OF SERVICES AVAILABLE
Co-Facilitated by our Elders and valued Wisdom keepers. Although we are *Primarily a GROUP PROGRAM and require clients to engage in or complete groups in order to access 1:1 counselling, our team of skilled clinicians offer a host of different counselling modalities such as DBT, EMDR, CBT, Strength-Based and Trauma-Informed (see clinician info here).
Our group programs are aimed at stabilization and social support in addition to counselling and advance on a continuum to deeper healing (Mindful Self-Compassion).
Our Mental Health and Substance use clinicians (MSW/RSW or RCC) provide individual counselling to participants and alumni of group services, assist with case management and encourage clients to reach out if they would like assistance connecting with other resources (such as food resources or referrals to care).
Our goal is to remove barriers to people of all cultures to getting support, and to assist clients in reclaiming the Sacred through culturally-enriched community based groups plus Mentorship / Counselling with RWP Group Leaders, Counsellors or traditional wisdom keepers.
We do not turn away clients due to financial restraints.
All you need is a desire to attend regularly and a minor donation.
This project has been termed a "Reconcili-ACTION effort" by one of our fine community partners and founding team members. Experts in mindfulness and self-compassion frequently remind us that having a mindfulness practice requires ACTION and engagement (on purpose). iThose of us attached to Restorative Programs are committed to decolonizing mental health and addiction services in order to create a "safer space" for traumatized and minority clients. We invite community mentors, spiritual teachers from many faiths and Indigenous Elders and Medicine people to attend our clinical services in order to weave modern mental health services with culture, relationship, mindfulness and spirituality as relevant aspects of life that often provide a great sense of comfort and safety beyond a "Biopsychosocial" model of personal wellness.
