A Full Spectrum of Services — Rooted in Culture, Compassion & Community
At RCHS, we are proud to offer a wide range of services that meet people where they are — spiritually, culturally, emotionally, and practically.
Our programs are co-facilitated by respected Elders and Wisdom Keepers, creating spaces that honour diverse healing traditions.
While we began primarily as a group-based program, we have since expanded to offer individual counselling with a team of skilled clinicians trained in modalities such as:
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Strength-Based and Trauma-Informed Approaches
👉 (see clinician info here).
Our counselling programs focus on stabilization, social support, and connection, progressing along a continuum that includes deeper healing practices such as Mindful Self-Compassion.
Our Mental Health and Substance Use clinicians (MSW/RSW or RCC) support both current clients and alumni of our group programs. They offer:
- Individual counselling
- Case management
- Resource navigation (e.g., food supports, external referrals)
We are committed to removing barriers to care for individuals from all cultures, with a special focus on those often underserved or left out by conventional systems. We support healing through:
- Culturally informed, community-based groups
- 1:1 Mentorship or Counselling with Restorative Group Leaders, Clinicians, or Traditional Knowledge Keepers
All that’s required is a willingness to show up regularly and a small donation, if possible.
A Reconcili-ACTION EffortOne of our founding members and community partners beautifully described this project as a “Reconcili-ACTION” — a living, breathing commitment to decolonizing mental health and addiction services.
We understand that mindfulness and self-compassion require action and intention. Our team embraces that call, weaving together:
- Modern clinical practices
- Cultural teachings
- Spiritual guidance
- Relational support
DBT Skills Training Groups for Stabilization and Transitions
• Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills (DBT Skills: 16-20 weeks) DBT was initially created to support clients that were diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. However, upon conclusion of DBT Skills training a number of clients would no longer meet criteria for a personality disorder due to their ability to respond more effectively in challenging situations.
